Recycled Content TPEs for Enhanced Sustainability  

reSound™ REC post-industrial recycle (PIR) and post-consumer recycle (PCR) TPEs help brand owners create sustainable end-user products, with formulations utilizing 9-83% recycled content. PCR grades are formulated with different types of recycled content: ocean plastics; food packaging from a variety of sources (including content that received a No Objection Letter from the U.S. FDA); oil; or polyvinyl butyral (PVB) from windshields and laminated building glass supplied by Shark Solutions.

Formulated for consumer and transportation markets, these grades can be used in applications such as personal care products, automotive interior and under-the-hood components, lawn and garden tools, outdoor goods, office supplies, USB-C cables, footwear and houseware durables.

Product Series Applications Description
reSound™ REC 2800 Series Lawn and garden, outdoor high performance, personal care, footwear, office supplies, houseware durables Developed in North America based on our Versaflex formulations. These 25-40% post-industrial recycled and post-consumer recycled grades are suitable for PP OM. PCR grades are made from recycled ocean plastics, various food packaging sources, or recycled PVB from windshields and laminated building glass.
reSound™ REC 0100 Series Consumer electronics Developed in North America based on our Versaflex formulations. These 30% post-industrial recycled grades are suitable for PC, ABS and PC/ABS OM.
reSound™ REC 7310 Series Automotive interiors Developed in North America based on our OnFlex formulations. These PCR grades contain 35-45% recycled content from food packaging and are suitable for PP OM.
reSound™ REC AF 7210 Series Automotive Interiors Developed in Europe these grades contain a minimum of 37% PCR content, including from closed loop feedstock. They support customers looking to adhere to the recycled content targets set out in the ELV Directive.
reSound™ REC 2800 Series Transportation, lawn and garden, outdoor high performance, personal care, footwear, office supplies, houseware durables Developed in Europe based on our Versaflex formulations. Standard grades contain 60% recycled content including recycled PVB from automotive windshields and laminated building glass and are suitable for PP OM.
reSound™ REC 7900 Series Lawn and garden, outdoor high performance, personal care, footwear, office supplies, houseware durables and automotive Developed in Europe based on our Versaflex formulations. These grades are a blend of post-industrial recycled and post-consumer recycled content. Formulated with recycled PP, recycled oil and recycled filler they offer over 80% recycled content and are suitable for PP OM.
reSound™ REC 3120 Series Consumer electronics, power tool Developed in Asia based on our Versaflex formulations. These grades are formulated with 20-60% PIR content and are suitable for PC, ABS and PC/ABS OM.
reSound™ REC DY 7810 series Personal care Developed in Asia based on our Dynalloy formulations. These grades are formulated with 9-39% PCR content from recycled food packaging and are suitable for PP OM.
reSound™ REC GP 7820 Series Consumer goods Manufactured in North America, Europe and Asia, these grades give multinational customers global access to a more sustainable alternative to virgin TPE grades with comparable performance. They contain up to 60% recycled content from PCR sources or a combination of PCR and PIR sources.
