We manage training and development through global programs and technology, with a purpose to ensure a consistent and high-quality experience for associates—all to unleash their full potential at work. Avient also offers nomination-based leadership development programs, such as NextGen, Elevate, Emerging Leaders and Avient Mentoring. Course evaluations, focus groups and program pilot techniques are utilized to gain insight to program effectiveness and monitor opportunities for enhancement.

Career Training and Leadership Development Programs Avient offers various professional development and on-the-job training opportunities for associates and managers, across all regions and locations. Avient hosts nomination-based leadership development programs, such as NextGen and Elevate, as well as CORE Leadership, an open-enrollment program for leaders of people globally. In addition to the annual, structured mentoring program sponsored by Leadership, all associates are encouraged to participate in informal mentoring engagements.   

This includes learning, training and leadership development programs as well as Avients’s social responsibility initiatives. Professional Development The Core Leadership program is designed for associates new to a managerial role within 3-5 years.

In 2018 the group led numerous leadership development training sessions, covering topics such as unconscious bias, building trust and impactful communication.
